Ingredient spotlight

At Advanced Nutrition Programme™, we believe the key to effectively targeting stubborn skin concerns is with a synergy of nutrients that play specific roles in the body. This week, we look at copper, niacin, l-cysteine, and licorice extract: four key ingredients in our new capsule Skin Bright.

Skin Bright is our revolutionary supplement that can only be found in Skin Even IQ – the five capsule system designed to target stubborn pigmentation for an even, radiant complexion. Let’s take a look at what makes these ingredients so special and why we’ve included them to deliver transformative results.

Copper

Copper is a mineral found throughout your body, which plays several important roles including activation of the immune system and production of red blood cells. Did you know, 15% of copper in the body is found in the skin?[1]Copper is essential for normal pigmentation* of the skin and nails. It’s also known to help reduce discolouration and wrinkles to support ageing concerns.

Niacin

Niacin is a vitamin that acts as an antioxidant, also a B vitamin[2].It can be found in foods such as mushrooms and helps inhibit melanosome transfer from melanocytes to keratinocytes. Niacin reduces redness also known as inflammaging. Inflammaging is redness that contributes to skin accelerated ageing and poor skin barrier function. Niacin can also help support the lipid layer – the fatty compounds that help control what goes in and out of your skin.

L-cysteine

L-cysteine is an essential amino acid and plays a role in antioxidant protection, helping regulate the production of melanin[3]. It’s important to keep this process balanced, because when cells become overactive and produce too much melanin – it can lead to hyperpigmentation. L-cysteine is also known to target stubborn pigmentation and discolouration.

Licorice Extract

Licorice extract is a root extract and antioxidant which helps regulate melanin and even skin tone[4]. It’s also known to support anti-ageing skin concerns, making it a great addition to Skin Bright.

All these key ingredients are featured in our new Skin Bright capsule in Skin Even IQ, the smart supplement system that targets stubborn pigmentation* and discolouration, revealing a radiant complexion and an even skin tone.
